While there are plenty of mass-market multi-effects boxes aimed guitar players, there's never been a professional quality effects processor for the serious guitarist. Until now. Eventide is proud to introduce the GTR4000 Ultra Harmonizer brand effects processor, the world's first no-compromise guitar effects processor.
Based on the TEC-award winning Eventide DSP4000 Ultra-Harmonizer studio effects processor, the GTR4000 has many times the processing power of other guitar effects products. And the GTR4000 GuitarPro gives players several different ways to use all that power.
Forget the usual rat's nest of floor boards and pedal arrays. And forget the restricted capabilities and limited bandwidth of such units. With the GTR4000, you can create and customize "virtual pedalboards" - up to six simultaneous pedals, with instant on/off and parameter changes in real time - strapped via MIDI to your favorite MIDI foot controller. The full bandwidth, multiple DSP effects processing of the GTR4000 provides the modular benefits of multiple pedals without the sonic limitations of typical pedal-based effects units. Real-time switching between pedals assures instant effects access during solos, rhythm or lead breaks.
Top name artists have been asking Eventide to build a product like the GTR4000 for years. So it's not surprising that these performers jumped at the chance to create custom presets that take advantage of the awesome power of the GTR4000 GuitarPro Ultra-Harmonizer effects processor. You get creative presets specifically designed and optimized for guitar, bass and even the Chapman Stick, from some of the best minds and ears in the business. People like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Trey Gunn (King Crimson), Jimmy Olander (Diamond Rio), Matt Henderson, Michael James and Scott Gilfix have written the most expressive presets ever created for any effects processor. For easy access, the artist preset collection banks are organized alphabetically by artist.
Eventide pioneered the concept of patchable effects. Unlike conventional audio processing units which contain a limited number of fixed digital processing algorithms, the Eventide 4000-series processors draw on 130 internal effects modules to create a wider variety of truly distinct programs than ever before possible. You can patch these effects modules together in an almost infinite number of ways using the GTR4000's patch editor functions. The GTR4000 utilizes version 2.0 of the Eventide 4000-series operating system software, which makes it easier than ever to use, and to create your own distinct effects.
Virtually any multiple effects configuration is possible: Create a Pitch Shifter-Reverb-Chorus-Flange-Delay-EQ program. Or a Distortion-Compression-Reverb-Delay-Parametric EQ. How about a program that links 8 Pitch shifts-8 Delays-8 Pans-8 Levels? Or 4 Diatonic Shifts-Reverb-EQ. If you can dream it, you can do it with the GTR4000. Up to 40 individual effects modules can be patched together in a single program.
In addition to building your own patches from scratch, there's another way to tap into the creative power of the GTR4000's patch editor. Start with one of the GTR4000's Effects Templates - pre-configured master effects routing templates that lay it all out for you, ready for your own finishing touches and parameter tweaks. An A/B comparison feature allows you to instantly compare your current edit with the original preset.
Case in point: Our incredible Picker's Paradise template - ten (six) effects boxes right at your fingertips. Each one full bandwidth, full quality. Compare that to typical multi-effects boxes, with effects quality that starts out limited and degrades from there as you string effects together. To a pro, this one alone is worth the price of admission.
Once you've created exactly what you want, save it in the GTR4000's user preset memory, or carry it around on a PCMCIA card. The GTR4000 has a DSP4000-compatible front panel PCMCIA slot, so you can use your creations in any other GTR4000 processor, or in any Eventide DSP4000-equipped recording studio worldwide.
An optional internal sampler board provides ample memory for looping and other long delay-based effects. A digital I/O option is available which provides full 24-bit AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital inputs and outputs in addition to the standard analog I/O. And, the master DSP4000 Studio Program Collection adds (all the) programs and factory presets from the Eventide DSP4000 Studio Ultra-Harmonizer effects processor to the GTR4000.
It's all too easy to "use up" the typical guitar effects processor. And do you really want to let one of these boxes color the tone you've worked so hard to achieve? That's why you need the power and the transparency of the only truly professional guitar and bass effects processor - the Eventide GTR4000 GuitarPro Ultra-Harmonizer effects processor. When you combine our creativity with yours, there'll be no stopping you.
