EVENTIDE AIRBORNE MULTIPURPOSE ELECTRONIC DISPLAY (EAMED)

Specifications

The technology in EAMED has already revolutionized general aviation instrumentation: thousands of ARGUS Moving Map Displays already installed and flying are working proof. EAMED puts all the data processing power and versatility of the ARGUS computer and display into an "EOM" format. Instead of the standard ARGUS Moving Map program, EAMED is supplied with a general purpose operating system that allows programmers to create custom software. EAMED includes all the other capabilities of ARGUS 5000 - RS232C and RS422 interfaces, slaved compass and ADF capabilities, large onboard memory, CPU, power supply, video board and an amazingly crisp, bright CRT display. Because EAMED's circuitry is identical to the fully-TSO'd Eventide ARGUS 5000, its hardware meets the reequirements of RTCA/DO-160B. EAMED is furnished with comprehensive documentation that explains its hardware and software, including detailed descriptions of the operating system function calls.
